Yep, I will never go back to that store - open or not. When the staff is more interested in sweeping the floor than a customer waiting for help for about 20 minutes - it's not a business I want to support. I had a longer conversation with the Parrot than any human in that store.

Maybe they're just concentrated on coral propagation now rather than sales to the public? They were discussed on ReefBuilders about 3 months ago:

I'm not sure what the affiliation is with Reef Raft in the US but I feel RR Canada has tarnished the name/brand for me.

I don't think jay is worried, the location has gone wholesale quite some time ago. When he's shipping out 100k worth of coral, a single guy at his door that may or may not buy.....

What brand, if not for customers using your name, you will never be heard of, lets be honest.

I spoke with Jay today,
Reef Raft is currently closed, it will be reopening in the fall. It has been closed for several weeks now.

Reef Raft are not a LFS, they are a wholesaler.

I have been here a few times, never had an issue with service. There was always 2 guys there, not sure which was Jay, but both seemed friendly and did not disregard nor disrespect me. I wasn't wearing a $10k suit either, jeans and a t shirt.

But when you add them double R's in front of any random coral name, watch the price rise...

I will go back when they re open, but that doesn't mean I will buy anything, window shopping those prize corals is cool if I have time to kill.

I think the issue is consistency and reliability. I think it's best they don't deal with the public.
